Eric, in the great depression (thanks to a 95% tax rate on corporations by FDR and dems), the unemployment rose to about 42% when calc about the same as U6, unadjusted basis.

The unemployment during The Great Depression was 25%. Very scary!!!!!!!. It has been 80 years since The Great Depression, 2 generations. It is coming around again. The causes for The Great Depression are the same ones we battle today.

It is all a hype propaganda so we the people won’t really know how serious it really is. We can’t just count those that receive unemployment payment. Many people are under-employed. More are even job-less and have not looked for a job for a while because it is hopeless…or nearly hopeless. I, for one, earned $4,000 a month and now am at $1500. Oh, well, how lucky of me, I am not unemployed. Take me off the governments stupid unemployment list.

These figures don’t even include undocumented, children who aren’t working yet, and elderlies and retirees. I wonder what percent of the population is actually not working?
