US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admits that American media outlets do not offer real news despite being the “most technologically advanced.”

Speaking before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Wednesday, Clinton said Washington is losing the “information war” in the world. She cited the quality of news channels like the Doha-based Al-Jazeera as one of the reasons justifying her opinion, The Huffington Post reported on Thursday.

“We’re the most technologically advanced country in the world, so slowly but surely we’ve been trying to take back the airwaves in Afghanistan against Taliban with the most primitive kind of communication equipment. Now, take that as one example where I don’t think we were very competitive, and we have worked like crazy to change that, and then go to the most extreme where you’ve got a global, a set of global networks, that al-Jazeera has been the leader in, that are literally changing people’s minds and attitudes,” she said.

Clinton also compared Al-Jazeera with US media outlets, and pointed out that the network is becoming increasingly popular in the United States because it disseminates “real news.”

“And like it or hate it, it (Al-Jazeera) is really effective. And in fact viewership of al-Jazeera is going up in the US because it’s real news. You may not agree with it, but you feel like you’re getting real news around the clock instead of a million commercials and, you know, arguments between talking heads and the kind of stuff that we do on our news which, you know, is not particularly informative to us, let alone foreigners.”

Clinton’s remarks reflect the faulty coverage of the latest developments in the Afghan war in US media.

According to a study by the Project for Excellence in Journalism, the war in Afghanistan accounted for just four percent of news coverage in major US outlets in early December 2010.

Emerging news which is going viral provides compelling evidence that fake news reports, pictures and videos are being propagated by our Western governments, the MSM and to the Libyan people via Al Jazeera.

These lies and false propaganda is in complete violation of International Law and is a war crime .

Whilst watching news clip of the ‘taking’ of Tripoli, I didn’t suspect for a minute at that time that a film set was being used, but I found it strange that the reporter seemed strangely robotic and disconnected from the scenes she was reporting on. She looked uncomfortable.

Then I came across this article saying that the news footage of the celebrations in the Bab Al’ Azizia compound were fake. Several reports now confirm that a mock-up of the Bab Al’ Azizia compound were made in film studios in Quatar and used actors to ‘celebrate’ the ‘victory’.

Surpassing previous mass media fabrications, both in scale and boldness, yesterday morning’s Al Jazeera mise-en-scène will surely go down in history as one of the most cynical hoaxes committed by corporate media since the manipulated pictures of Iraqis topplying Saddam Hussein’s statue after the US invasion in 2003.

On the morning of August 22nd 2011, Al Jazeera aired a ‘live’ report from Green Square in Tripoli, which claimed to show the capture of the Libyan capital by rebel forces. Scenes of jubilation and euphoria enveloped Al Jazeera’s reporter Zeina Khodr as she declared: ” Liya is in the hands of the opposition”

  4. She is 100 % correct. None of American media provides objective journalism. Al Jazeera is doing an excellent job and it should serve as an example for Americans. Its quality of reporting is superb and, most importantly, it is less biased than media in the US.

  5. Well if the Secretary of State can say it then imagine where this country has gone to? It’s as if there has been a systematic information blackout in the US media as it relates to what is truly happening in the US and the world. No wonder so many people have to seek alternative means to get the news.

    • I agree. I am having to seek alternative news sources to find the truth! Crazy. I am sure she is part of the media blackout operation and then goes on TV claiming to have nothing to do with it. I believe in Op-Sec to win a conflic that is just, but I cannot support lying to Americans to hide what thier doing to the economy.
