Seeing a cultural parade in NYC is disgusting? Guess what, in addition to an annual Muslim Day Parade, we also have an annual Easter Parade, Sikh Cultural Parade, Cuban Day Parade, Philippine Independence Day Parade, Puerto Rican Day Parade, Evangelical Christian Children’s Parade, Christian Youth Parade, India Independence Day Parade, Dominican Day Parade, Pakistan Independence Day Parade and a Salute to Israel Parade.

Anyone can apply for a permit and block the street for however long the permit allows—that’s what a parade is. Sorry if that upsets your sensitive feelings.

For the same reason that Christians CAN have religious parades, and Muslims CAN’T erect a statue of Mohammed on government (public) property—because parades are a totally different thing. If you do not understand the simple concept of what a parade is, I cannot help you.

Muslims have a right to build mosques on private property just like Jews can build synagogues and Christians can build churches. The president of the United States has no business getting involved in local real estate matters, other than to clarify that people of all faiths—including Muslims—have the right to build houses of worship. And that’s all he did.

If you want to live in a place that doesn’t allow other religions to practice, maybe you should move to Saudi Arabia. If you can’t handle people of all faiths being allowed to practice free of persecution, then please stay out of my city and my country.

Regardless of the article, the fact is seeing this in NYC is disgusting. The fact that your president bends over backwards to defend Muslims when they build mosques or something might happen to the Koran while he is silent when things are the other way round is even worse.

Political correctness is way out of hand the world over. Frankly I’m fed up with it – a lot of people are.

I live in NYC, and this entire post is nonsense. Those photos were taken on October 18, 2009 at last year’s Muslim Day Parade. What you are seeing does not occur weekly, it occurs annually with the proper parade permits from the city.

I wonder what “good Christian” fabricated that story. Last time I checked, the bible had nothing kind to say about those who bear false witness with intent to deceive, and I’m pretty sure the LORD hates a “lying tongue.”

Furthermore, we are NOT a “Christian nation” by any means, but nobody is prevented from putting up a nativity scene on private property, we’re just not supposed to have the nativity scenes put up by the government on public property, because our constitution prohibits the government from respecting an establishment of religion or impeding the free exercise of religion.
