This in no way protects an employee from being fired by an employer for speaking in a manner that might be unbecoming to the employer. The First Ammendment protest individuals from persecution from the government for voicing an opinion.

Also, in the military there is a chain of command. The President of the USA is at the top of that chain. A General disrespecting the Commander in Chief should expect to be disciplined just like anyone else who reports to a boss.
