(B)roken (P)ipe can rot in the hell that it created. I would like them to evaporate like a fart in the wind after they use thier dirty money to clean up what they can. I mean, what will be left for the shareholders(what is clearly on their minds) Disgusting, greedy, faceless, corporate greed.

The record shows that Obama and his Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar—who has a record of criticizing the Bush administration from the right for being too restrictive on the oil industry—took numerous actions over the past 16 months to accelerate drilling in the Gulf.
As the World Socialist Web Site noted on May 10 (“Obama administration blocked efforts to stop BP oil drilling before explosion”), the administration intervened in a federal court case in support of oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, and Salazar specifically cited BP’s Deepwater Horizon operation as one that should be allowed to go forward.
An initial court decision—handed out only days after Obama gave BP an environmental waiver for its Deepwater Horizon rig—ruled that oil drilling in the Gulf was being carried out without sufficient study of its impact. Salazar praised a subsequent court decision, handed down in July 2009, which allowed the BP project to go forward and thus condemned much of the US Gulf coast to environmental catastrophe.

Better think again. In the Gulf of Mexico, the Eugene Island 330 field was found to be self-replenishing. Reserves had depleted from almost 16,000 Bbls a day down to 4000, and over time, mysteriously back up to 15000. A large field in Saudi Arabia did the same thing, and now Russia is exploring for self-replenishing reserves with deep well drilling activity, and has found more.
This oil us coming from deeper geologic zones, and refilling existing reservoirs. The trick is to locate the hot spots and tap into them. We once thought that oil was organic in nature/chemistry because of bacteria content in shallower zones. This thinking is now being challenged because of the aforementioned self replenishing reserves. The chemistry of oil is essentially alkane based, and this “abiotic” oil has its genesis in the upper mantel of the earth, not from decomposed organic lifeforms.
PLEASE look up “ABIOTIC OIL” online. This is fascinating, and believe me when I tell you that oil is viable and plentiful and will have much political leverage in the next 100 years and beyond. The trick is to find the hot spots and drill in areas where oil migrates upwards along certain fault lines and replenishes certain existing reserves. This is the focus of the “new game,” being played in the southern Russian provinces and other areas. This is the deep well drilling that seems to be the new focus. Why did Russia drill the deepest hole in human history at over 40,000 feet? What are they looking for?
AND FINALLY, why does Russia want the oil rights to the North Pole?
Please do a web search on “abiotic oil” for your answer. Self-replenishing reserves are self-perpetuating MONEY AND POWER.
Whoever controls the energy will control the global economy.
Again, please see “ABIOTIC OIL”

They cut corners building these rigs. Thanks to all my fellow Americans who drive Hummers and gas guzzling huge-ass SUV’s. If we didn’t drive our kids around to all kinds of freakin’ after school activities and all the other nonsensical driving we do we wouldn’t be dependent on so much oil. Oil isn’t an infinite resource. Now our Gulf is a dead zone and it will get worse as BP and our own government stalls to fix it.

He represents Wall Street and the Banksters. Anyone who believes otherwise has to just check his record.
He is also controlled by Rahm, an American who served in the Israeli Defense Force but not in the US forces. He is a dual citizen, controller and gay lover. You cannot expect justice from this man

Blamethrower can kiss my much-more-American-than-his ASS. Of the – what, 19 countries that offered to help, he accepts China and frikking Norway or something, because help NOW just doesn’t have ‘value’. Never mind they’ve had experience, never mind the Admin and the EPA block cleanup efforts, never mind we’ve got Navy tankers that have helped SAUDI F’ING ARABIA clean up the SAME DAMN THING standing idle – never mind any of that. Odrama’s got a golf game to attend.

Crappy Obama was too busy hysterically denouncing American citizens and Arizona’s new law and ignored the oil spill. He is an incompetent asshole with an incompetent administration. He partied with Calderon while the oil continued to spill and then nearly 40 days after the explosion the fucker starts his finger pointing routine and wants to sue. FUCK OBAMA!
