Do a little research. It is also entirely possible that oil thinned with the poisonous Corexit dispersant may indeed wind up in our rain. That horrific and entirely possible reality aside, waterspouts (quite common in the Gulf) may uptake pretty much anything–including oil.

We should be more worried about legitimate threats like evaporating toxic chemical dispersants than “oil rain”, although a hurricane picking up water with oil in it and carrying it to shore is a real concern..
