Have you ever so much as looked into an astronomy book? The vast majority of stars do not end up as black holes (but rather as brown dwarfs or similar forms).

Yes, if it actually was as big as the Sun or the Moon; however the “star” that will be created is so small you won’t see it in any microscope.

Geez, has *anyone* of you ever seen a school from the inside? Or is this the cliché of the illiterate American reloaded?

I think its ingenious but way too dangerous!! We should solve our energy crisis in another fashion, not one to mimic mother nature on that large of a scale!! Suppose the star goes supernova unexpected and engulfs earth with the blackhole that is creAted when a star dies. What if the beam disturbs the core of the earth in turn messing up our rotation, ozone or protective magnetic shield?! There are way too many hypothetical what ifs and to create a natural phenomenal event such as a suld send humanity to the fate dinosaurs took. I know there is the skepticism as there was when we truly understood what E=MC2 meant …in turn creating an atomic bomb. Meaning something as powerful as a star and a laser emitting that infinite power could easily be replicated and used against us for mass destruction. This idea is as idiotic as say retreating the big bang and we all know what happens when anti matter and matter mix and that would be ashamed to die in vain and the next evolution of humans if any can try and put the pieces together. For those scientist with a godlike ego leave universal mother nature alone!! Use tangible things that are given to us wind, fire, the sun, moon, plants etc NOT a man made star.

If you eat of the tree of knowledge, you elevate yourself out of the stone ages, you develop penicillin, computers, etc. Thank your god that we have a tree of knowledge to eat out of! (or we wouldn’t have our computers to express our opinions on this website?)
