I’m sorry but I just don’t think that America can be blamed for everything. It’s like Africa blaming colonization for everything that’s wrong with it.
Take South Korea, for example. It has been ravaged by war and communism and within the last 10 years it has made huge strides. It is now a very strong economy, and one of the technologically most advanced countries in the world. But there’s a difference, the people are proud of their country and they work their butts off.
If African countries, Mexico and others would only stop focusing on bitching and complaining and feeling sorry for themselves, there is no reason why they can’t also make great progress.
They were carrying posters like:
“Give us FREE

jobs (no taxes)
house
food
you OWE us America”
and
“We will shoot more police in Arizona until we get FREE”

I am not an American; I am German. As an outsider and probably more aware of what is going on in America than Americans do; I feel bad for the American people because they are completely blinded and indoctrinated by the media and history books with slanted views of current and historical events.
Germany’s history of racism is no secret; unfortunately, Frank, Mark, Puter and US Marine all sound much like the blind German patriots that supported Hitler. In response to Frank regarding the Mexican Cession of 1848; first and foremost, prior to the cession the U.S. held an unyielding desire to expand across the North American continent to the Pacific Ocean causing conflict with all of its neighbors; from the British in Canada and Oregon to the Mexicans in the southwest and, of course, with the Native Americans. Whether you may like to accept it or not, it was a U.S. agenda to bully Mexico down to their knees and accept the offer to sell out. Mexico was no match for the United States and their military might of the time, and the Polk Administration knew it.
In response to Mark, the Mexican migration to the U.S. would not exist if Mexico were fixed. But, you need to realize that the Mexican economy is as bad as it is due to the ongoing exploitation of Mexican natural resources by the United States since before the Mexican Cession. It was only until recently Corporate USA backed by the intimidation of the CIA & the U.S. Military bilked the Mexican nation of all its petroleum. Mexico today makes only 15% profit on their vast supply of oil. How on earth can any nation progress if they are ripped off of their ability to generate any revenue for their progress?
And Puter, allow me to inform you that Mexicans, like South Americans, and Canadians are all part of the North, Central and South American Continent. They are all Americans. Maybe not United States citizens; but, American they are.
And finally, US Marine; if you are a US Marine allow me to commend you for the service you volunteer for the freedoms the United States has fought for. However, the United States Americans do not need balls as you express. They have already exemplified to have them with their military occupying whatever nation they wish to build! Here in Europe we all respect your forefathers and the early American revolutionaries. But, the United States of our present time is a nation building bully that backs up all corporate interest with their military might. A military funded by a blind American people duped into believing that they should fear a gang of an approximate 350 so called “terrorists.” Hence, they foolishly support US Military intervention of Irag & Afghanistan. Here in Europe we all see the Americans as puppets of the American Corporate War Machine.
Wake up America, you are all ruled by secrecy. You are controlled by a few elitist families that have been exploiting the American middle class for over a century and will eventually acquire all its wealth.

To understand Mexico, you have to understand how Spain lost its game in the New World. America took Cuba and the Philipines from Spain, as well as other territories. We put Mexico where they are today. This is all a result of American foreign policy. NAFTA adds insult to injury, as America is bullying its way through Mexico, offering little in return. Two sided trade? Hardly.
Now areas of Mexico are destabilized and given over to control by drug cartels. There were 25,000 murders in Juarez last year, all drug related. Judges murdered on a wholesale basis. Sound like Columbia?
My guess is America’s next war will be in Mexico, assuming we aren’t at war there …largely unreported by our media…..as we are in Columbia.
If you ask me, this is all a result of bad American policy. America seems to be the last one to learn the maxims of cause and effect. The loss of Cuba t Russia was the biggest fiasco in the history of American foreign policy.
Please read “Blowback” by Chalmers Johnson. He was a CIA member for over 30 years, and his book explains in detail how every bit of America’s foreign policy since world war 2 is blowing back on us now.
The loss of Iran. The loss of Cuba. The situation in Afghanistan goes way way back. This is all explained in his book.
To me, America is a ship who has lost her rudder. Either that, or I shudder to think what her rudder might be.
