For those of you who say the DNA results are in and they prove King Tut had features similar to Europeans or people from the middle east then you clearly don’t understand genetics at all as do most people who haven’t studied genetics. In fact the DNA evidence, according to a friend of mine who has a PHD (doctorate) in genetics, does not confirm his race at all. To be honest I can’t comment much on this subject because I’m no expert in this field but I doubt very much that most of the comments on this article come from geneticists. Also I have very little faith in the tests carried out by the Egyptians, it would seem they have an interest in trying to manipulate the data to show themselves as the descendants of ancient Egypt. I’m not saying all Egyptians are corrupt but I certainly don’t trust Dr Zahi Hawass.

Finally I don’t think this issue matters a great deal as this was all in the past and more important issues are here in the present. I think, however, it is important for black people to know that their entire history is not that they were just slaves taken by superior white people as alot of western education teaches us. There were many ancient African civilisations and cultural discoveries of sophisticated society, art, speech, science, etc. Sure some africans lived in huts or caves just as europeans, asians, middle-easterns and everyone else did. Don’t believe a lie just because it sounds convincing or someone tries to undermine another viewpoint and claims what they’re saying is fact. Look into these things for yourself and you will discover that the same person who gives you the definitive answers that the ancient egyptians were white have holes in their arguments.

Oh, the update for King Tut is that Hawass has given to go-ahead to test him for sickle cell disease as a cause of death. Now, before folks try to say that sickle cell disease is not indicative of African ancestry, be clear that the only two types that are not of African ancestry is the Saudi-Asia. Of the four types, the one that is fatal, i.e., causes death is the Hsb type of Benin, clearly African. Hawass was asked whether it was possible that King Tut died of sickle cell and he answered that it was possible. In other words, the particular fatal type of African ancestry is inherited from both parents, therefore both parents would have to be African.

I have googled this and the German scientists claim this test could be done in one hour….so why has it not been done? Partly, because it would be a finality…that is he Hawass has already stated the death by sickle disease was possible so he has already admitted to the African ancestry of the Boy King!

I highly doubt King Tut is the European M269, that’s simply hilarious, he’s more likely one of the various African R1b of Central-West Africa. There is no European origin of R1b, it’s only argued between Africa and Asia, and most likely Africa since R1b falls within the Afro-Asiatic language family.
