I respect the French for closing shops on Sunday (for nonessentials). Germany also has many shops closed on Sunday. Too bad Sarkozy seems to think he ought to kow-tow to her, instead of inviting her to consider staying another day. Maybe he was eager to get her satisfied and gone quickly!
