Number of Famous Mathematicians in history by countries is indicative of Continental Intelligence.
Warning this research is “politically sensitive” as it denotes correlation between nation and intelligence.
This study only shows the pure statistical facts, it does not take into account past or present socio-economic status of each country, nor the time period of development of every countries.
This statistical study encompass all the number of Mathematicians known though out history that ever existed and only takes into account the countries or continent involved in the ranking calculation, not the actual population number. The ranking for each continents are taken after eliminating countries where statistical error variance would be too high.
Input information was taken from Wikipedia “Mathematicians by nationality”

Results classified in decreasing numbers by average ratio (Continent and Countries within, see detailed study for Europe).

The rows are arranged in decreasing numbers of renown Mathematicians for each country.
The 1st column indicates the country.
The 2nd column indicates the number of renown Mathematicians for that country.
The 3rd column indicates the number of inhabitants.
The 4th column indicates the proportion of native/original inhabitants.
The Ratio is the proportion number of inhabitants for one renown Mathematician in that region/country,
If the proportion is lower, then it means the population of that region is more intelligent in average than the people whose proportion is higher.

The Ranking of Poland is very close to the average ranking for the whole of Europe, 1/372 Thousands for Poland and 1/371.3 Thousands for Europe.
Poland could be taken as the statistical reference for the whole of Europe.
The ranking below maybe unreliable, since a small number of population or number of Mathematicians is not a reliable source of statistical precision (higher variance error due to low sample frequency population, statistical variance error become tremendous with the population difference of Russia compared to Wales).

If we exclude South Africa from the African countries, and keep only Nigeria, Cameroon and Tanzania then the ratio is even lower, One for 51.4 Millions.
South African white’s ratio would be One for 440 Thousands, situating it between Poland and Italy.
