November 2 2008 — Kameeldrift ‘s besieged smallholders said during their second emergency meeting within just 4 months this weekend that the SA Police was failing to protect them from the great many armed attacks by huge, armed gangs which target the Afrikaner whites inside their homes for murder and rape – usually stealing very little of value. These Kameeldrift Afrikaners are not imagining things either: these genocidal attacks have in fact been drawing a great deal of international attention, for instance two Flemish parliamentarians raised the issue just recently in their parliament — and demanded that all the Belgian government’s development-aid funding to the ANC-regime had to be frozen until all this violence and chaos ended in SA and the ANC-regime brought back the country’s constitutional rule of law.
And the Unrepresented Nations’ and Peoples’ Organisation also issued a unanimous condemnation of the great many armed attacks against Afrikaners at their farms and homes. This powerful international lobby for the rights of small minorities in May also unanimously admitted the Afrikaner opposition party Freedom Front Plus as their 72nd member, giving Afrikaners an important international platform for the first time since they lost their independence to the British colonial forces in 1902…

Oct 31 2008 KAMEELDRIFT, PRETORIA, SOUTH AFRICA. Some 1,000 besieged Afrikaner smallholders at Kameeldrift, northeast of Pretoria, said 
during an emergency meeting at their local Dutch-Reformed Church they are being targetted by genocidal attackers. During the meeting at the overcrowded church, emotions ran so high that residents demanded that the local police station commander superintendent Edwin Lelaka, who was present, be removed from his post. This weekend at the local Dutch-Reformed church, Kameeldrift’s residents sent a clear message to the police authorities, namely that Lelaka and his police force are incompetent, don’t even know how to get around on the the smallholdings, and that they are failing to protect them from rampaging, feral youth gangs. The gangs target the Afrikaner smallholders for murders and rapes . The motion that the police commander be replaced by a more competent police officer who knows the area received 500 votes from the angry audience.
- Local private crime-detective Mike Bolhuis said the person who was really responsible for the plight of the Afrikaners in this smallholder community is Director Jaco Botha, of the police’s central firearms register. “He’s the one who made so many empty promises to us at our last meeting four months ago that things would improve,” he said.
- Recently it took a full hour and 45 minutes before the police showed up at the scene of an armed house robbery… in spite of the gigantic letters the community has put up on all their homesteads in May after policemen claimed that they got lost because they couldn’t find the numbers of the plots… Resident Gerrit Klopper went around personally to put up each giant number plate on the fencing of the rural homesteads just for this purpose. Kameeldrift — and indeed all of the greater Pretoria/Brits smallholdings regions where Afrikaner families have been living for many decades – are being hit by a wave of extremely violent attacks during families are targetted inside their (high-security) homes for the past two years or more. This past month’s atrocities however made the Kameeldrift residents reach breaking point — a virginal 16-year-old Afrikaans teen was raped while her family had to listen helplessly; a popular local teacher, Rudi Roach of Zwartkops Afrikaans high school, was murdered, 42-year old father of two, chemist Marius MacDonald was shot execution-style in front of his family – and these are regular occurrances. In May, the Maree family escaped with their lives after fighting off a large armed gang with just their bare hands and sheer determination and courage… the horror stories just keep mounting.

The cops just shrug us off…
Mrs Marietjie Peense, commander of the great many unpaid volunteers who man the Kameeldrift community patrols each night, said at the Sunday emergency meeting that it’s now it’s entirely left up to the community to do all the policing, the cops just ‘shrug us off’.
- “We want to cooperate with the police but we are getting no legal punch during our crime-fighting efforts. After we’ve worked all day to put food on the table, we have to ride patrols at nights.”We get no help, and the police force moreover, doesn’t even know this area and so they can’t find us fast enough, they claim,’ she told the meeting.
‘They come to kill us — says widow:
Recently widowed Mrs Leonie Steenberg, Rapport picture on the left – whose husband Adriaan was gunned down at point-blank range, execution style, inside their home in May by a large armed gang, says there’s a lot more to these attacks than just ordinary robberies. “This is genocide. We are being targetted because of who we are. Who gives these orders. Why are only young Afrikaner men shot dead. It’s a genocide. They came in and shot my husband just to kill him, after they’d already broken in 35 previous times in our homestead.’ “And after they’d shot dead Adriaan, I didn’t get the idea that they were going to shoot me dead too.
“Adriaan was a peaceful man. I often worried and told him they were still going to come and shoot us dead inside our home, but Adriaan always said I should not allow other people to talk me into being scared. “Our family breadwinner was taken away from us. He assured us of a future. Now we don’t know where to go. We cannot sell the house because nobody wants to buy a home where a man was muirdered.”
Community leader Gerrit Klopper: “We are bleeding”
“Over the past seven months there were 49 armed attacks against (the families here),” said community leader Gerrit Klopper. ” In October alone, there were six armed attacks, seven housebreakings, two murders, one rape… the community is bleeding.’ Klopper asked commander Lelaka, who was sitting in at the meeting and was apologising constantly, “what was done at the Kameeldrift police station after they held a similar emergency meeting four months ago – and during which many promises were made.
Twenty suspects arrested by the community released – files went missing?
“The community wants answers on these allegations for instance, that the files of twenty suspected criminals in these crimes went missing and they were simply released again…”
Finger-prints taken three days after attacks…
“We want to know why residents do not get any report-backs from the Kameeldrift police after we have filed complaints about specific cases. We want to know why it takes police detectives as long as three days before they show up at a violent crime scene to take finger-prints.’
- “The police told us four months ago that we, as a community, had to get involved in crime fighting. So we did. In the past year, we spent R500,000 on GBA-patrol vehicles. We purchased 356 huge numbers for each plot to help the police find us easier. We have 168 citizen-patrol radios in use in Kameeldrift. We are fully involved – so exactly WHAT are the Kameeldrift police doing to protect us”?

One resident who is very involved in the crime fighting campaign is local business woman Liesel Krause-Wiid, motivational speaker and former Mrs United Nations International. She is an assistant-minister at this Dutch Reformed Church community. She and her husband Siebert “ came home “ after emigrating to Perth, Australia – after a year, they became just too homesick for their own people, their Afrikaans language and culture. But the crime epidemic is overshadowing every moment of their waking hours.
“We can’t sleep nights. Every little sound wakes us up. My husband, myself and the children live in constant fear.’

Raped child tells of attack at Kameeldrift home:
Prayers were the only defence left to a desperate father when four armed black men invaded his Kameeldrift homestead in the early hours of Tuesday-morning.
The four men terrorised the unarmed family and raped their virgin 16-year-old child Helene. (all the names have been changed to protect their identities). Johannes Swart, wife Marie, son Gerhard, 15 and daughters Helene 16 and Rentia, 7 were attacked at around 3:30am while asleep in their beds. Helene was unable to speak for a long time after the ordeal. She now is still very traumatised and ill from the antiretroviral medication she had to be given to prevent AIDS-transfer from the rapist.
- Three of the armed men held the rest of the family at gunpoint while the fourth armed men came into her bedroom, tied her up and threatened to kill her with a gun. He also threatened to shoot her father. And in the parents’ bedroom, just above Helene’s, all the father could do was to pray out loud and ask the Lord that He must change the mentality of their attackers. “That’s when I heard Helene shout, ‘eina’ (ouch) and I prayed again.”
Helene said she was very confused and hurt after the rape. The rapist took her back to the parental bedroom, and tied her up with the rest of the family before leaving. They had failed to tie up little Rentia, who cut them all lose with a pair of scissors. Now Helene gets frequent bouts of nausea and feels very ill because of the antiretroviral medication she was given to try and prevent infection with the virus causing AIDS, which is very prevalent among black South African men. She has to use this medication for the next three months before she’ll find out whether she was also infected with AIDS. Mrs Swart says her son has also become very angry since the attack and the rape of his sister. This family will never be the same again.

AFRIKANERS DENIED POLITICAL ASYLUM: NO PLACE TO FLEE TO
These two American-born children of Mrs Carol Herbst, a recently returned Afrikaner asylum-seeker from the USA, were among the targets in a violent armed robbery attack in Delmas in April 2008, during which Mrs Herbst’ brother-in-law Jimmy Watson was gunned down at the local Kentucky-Fried-Chicken outlet.
The children, Derian, 6, and Tegan, 3, were born in the US while the Herbst couple awaited asylum-procedures for six years. She said the US ‘can now see the kind of country they have forced our family to return to.’
White South Africans – but especially Afrikaners — applying for visas at the US embassy in South Africa also report that they are invariably being treated very rudely by black staffers there and are often being rejected for legal emigration to the USA in spite of their often excellent qualifications. If your country cannot see the value of hard working lawful educated people who dragged south africa into the 21 century maybe it’s time to leave them to there fate and come to a country whose people want you. And is safe to sleep at night.
