Today, August 25th, marks the 40th anniversary of the assassination of George Lincoln Rockwell, one of the greatest White racial leaders the world has ever known. Born on March 9th, 1918, in Bloomington, Illinois, Rockwell left college in 1940 to join the U.S. Navy so that he could fight and kill Germans and destroy – what the mainstream media referred to him as – their “evil” leader, Adolf Hitler. Although he started out as an ordinary recruit, he rose through the ranks and eventually became a Navy Commander and fighter pilot in both World War II and Korea. Serving in two wars, he was awarded nine decorations.
When he returned home, however, he saw that something just wasn’t right. All of the horror stories and anti-German hate propaganda just didn’t add up. He saw that the countries the war was supposed to save, Poland, Czechoslovakia, and others, had been turned over to the Communists. As with General Patton, Rockwell realized “we had fought the wrong beast.” “America was in the hands of arrogant gangs of ‘minority’ agitators and power manipulators,” said Rockwell.
Rockwell began to ask questions and look for answers. One of these questions, of course, was the “Jewish question.” He then read a book that was written by probably the most vilified man in history. This book changed his life forever. While reading Mein Kampf, he discovered that everything he had ever been told about its author had been deliberately distorted and that he and his fellow countrymen had been lied to and tricked. At this time, he realized just who it was that was responsible for these lies and how they used their power in the news and entertainment media to not only mislead the American public, but to soften them up for the kill. This was particularly true in the mid-Sixties when the Immigration Act and “civil rights” laws were passed.
For a while Rockwell had actually been somewhat of a conservative, but felt that anyone too frightened to openly discuss the Jewish problem would be absolutely worthless in the struggle that was to come. So all alone in 1958, Commander Rockwell decided to dedicate his life to the Cause of the man he had once fought to destroy. In nine years he had built a worldwide National Socialist network.
But on August 25, 1967, George Lincoln Rockwell was struck down by an assassin’s bullet. The enemies of our race gloated. They thought that with the murder of George Lincoln Rockwell, the movement he had ignited in America and the party he had formed would cease to exist, and the biggest threat to them since 1945 would be extinguished for good.
Our enemies, however, failed to understand that you cannot kill an idea. The shot that ended his life did not destroy the immortal Cause for which he had fought. Rockwell was a very charismatic, influential leader, and he had made a profound impact on a number of followers, many of whom picked up the torch and continued the mission for which he had dedicated his life. And still today, Rockwell continues to influence our race in a positive direction through his books – White Power and This Time the World – and through his speeches, some of which are available from Resistance Records.
One of the men upon whom Rockwell had greatly influenced was a former physics professor named Dr. William Luther Pierce. Dr. Pierce was watching the television news one evening when he saw a tall, gregarious man saying things that were true, yet no one else seemed to have the guts to publicly state those things. Dr. Pierce then wrote Rockwell a letter of which he replied and the rest is history, with the former physics professor assuming the editorship of Rockwell’s National Socialist World.
A few years following Rockwell’s assassination, Dr. Pierce founded the National Alliance, and led the organization until his unfortunate passing in July of 2002. As with Rockwell’s death, the enemies of our race gloated in the hope that the National Alliance would crumble following the death of its founder. Much to their chagrin they were wrong, and the National Alliance – the organization that sponsors this broadcast – continues to flourish today.
Besides our weekly American Dissident Voices radio broadcasts and our youth-oriented music publication, Resistance, the National Alliance also publishes a bi-monthly news magazine, National Vanguard, and a monthly newspaper, Free Speech. Our book company, National Vanguard Books, offers hundreds of book titles that the controlled media don’t want you to read. We also have Local Units around the country made up of some of our most dedicated activist members, who are tirelessly working to raise awareness and promote our message among the White population. Among the events we host are European cultural festivals, Holocaust revisionist conferences, and lectures from great authors such as David Irving.
Every organization that depends on donations for its operations must, from time to time, raise more than the usual amount of funds in order to take care of certain pressing needs. High school booster clubs sell raffle tickets and team apparel, churches have building campaigns, and presidential candidates host dinners at $2,000 a plate. Most of the time, a fundraiser is designed to meet some immediate need, either to keep the existing programs in place or to expand into new areas. Booster clubs need money in order to “boost” the extracurricular activities that students participate in, churches need money to put additions onto the existing buildings, and presidential candidates need money in order to get more name recognition among the voters.
So it isn’t unusual that we in the National Alliance find ourselves looking for money at this time. The funds we are aiming for will be used for a combination of purposes, both to continue existing programs and also to expand into other areas. As the organization that is in the forefront of the White Racialist Cause in the United States, we need to step up to the plate and do our utmost to meet this need. We are aiming for a total fundraising effort of at least $20,000 and, if we get the full participation of all of our members and supporters, we should easily be able to reach that amount.
In sharp contrast to our relatively small goal of $20,000, the amount of money raised by our direct competitors is eye-popping. Last year, the Cleveland Jewish Committee raised over $30 million for its purposes. If that much was raised by Jews in the Cleveland area, think how much was raised by Jewish organizations all over the United States, as well as in Europe. With that kind of money doing all it can to shut down the dissemination of the Alliance’s message of truth and hope for White people, perhaps you can see how important it is for us to dig a little deeper into our pockets to meet our rather modest goal.
It’s also important to remember that it is much easier to keep something going than to get it moving from a dead stop. We’ve got some things going right now, and we want to keep them moving. We don’t want to let them fall by the wayside and then later try to pick them up and get them started again.
So now is the time to donate all you can to keep the Alliance’s worldview going. Without us, the White race in the Western hemisphere continues its slide into oblivion without so much as a whimper of resistance. Despite the odds that are stacked against us, we will continue on our course no matter what, because it is the right thing to do. The longtime British National Socialist Colin Jordan stated this well in his book, National Socialism, Vanguard of the Future:
“A real National Socialist is one who, in the last resort, even if it could be proved to him with mathematical certainty that physical defeat would attend all his efforts, would still go on fighting. He would do so, inflicting as much punishment as possible on the enemy, and with a warrior’s song in his heart, because it is his nature to do so, and because a victory of the spirit is always won thereby.”
Our struggle must continue, and right now that struggle requires money to help it move ahead.
